I...I know you can't just sit by and do nothing. I also know that people like myself can't go out and be a great activist, etc.

For my part, I try to do what I can in my sphere of influence. I make sure that my five year old knows that littering is bad, as I did the oldest, and as my mother did before me. Little things like just in how you raise your children to live and treat others and their planet.

My 20 year old and I are connected to a group that practices and teaches sustainable living and that is our small step towards the new future on the horizon. The five year old is getting ready to be in charge of recycling in our house, which I have not always been great about, but am trying to get back to.

Thought provoking blog, enjoyed it very much!BrambleRosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01740399918764886286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683517115803435806.post-44963368118195633392009-08-27T16:18:38.022+01:002009-08-27T16:18:38.022+01:00I have to be honest here. And the personal gratification that comes from doing your part is something that none of those selfish people will ever feel. Someone once said we're all selfish and, in a sense, they're right. Even those who do good do so because it makes them feel better about themselves. The selfish people just haven't learn the joy of giving something to the world...and that's sadder than anything I can think of.Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683517115803435806.post-44685314289640008502009-08-27T15:26:05.663+01:002009-08-27T15:26:05.663+01:00We need to take care of it.
